Story of NYBG:
New York Battlegroup, also known as NYBG, is a Cadet Group started in August 25, 2017 by Harrison Fisher. The inspiration for the group came from his time spent as a member of the Young Marines youth group program in New York. It was this experience that gave him the structure, discipline, motivation, and eagerness to help his community.
Our goal is to teach our cadets leadership, discipline, confidence, and love for our country, while respecting our Nation's differences. We hope to reach out to our veterans and provide support and admiration in any way possible. We plan to do this through structured activities and teaching the spectrum of military customs, so that we may learn to work as a team.
As a group we will donate our time to the betterment of public service in our communities. NYBG Cadets each deserve to discover the meaning of being a part of something greater than themselves, as well as, personal growth. Regardless of their beliefs and backgrounds. The values of respect, loyalty, and community is what makes a NYBG Cadet.
